About your teacher

Ms. Hodges

Teaching is a second career for me.  I began my first career working for North Carolina Power in Manteo, North Carolina.  Later I began my journey to become a teacher.  My first degree from East Carolina University was in dance and my second degree was in teaching.  During the summers while in college I was a dancer in the outdoor drama, The Lost Colony.  I have been a teacher for 23 years.  I have high expectations for all my students and set up environment to help them thrive.  Inspired by my mother and grandfather to love learning, I hope to inspire my students to feel the same.
